16748 steps and we didn’t even dance

Today we have a late start. Nothing more pressing except Guinness tour and we wanted to do a couple of museums although we have to limit Dan since he loves to read All the information. We go to Dublin Castle although it is now where the head of states meet.  A retired castle Tali suggested we go to see the library and she wants to see something on the 3rd floor.  Up the stairs we go. There is a small rooftop garden and the creative center is actually a children’s area with coloring and crafts.  Lunch and a walk back to Guinness which is 3/4 mile on the other side of our B and B. The tour of Guinness is a walk through of the brewing process some of the history and advertising.  We are here to get mom a T shirt and of course they no longer make the one she wants. We go up to the rooftop bar with a view of the city and a bizillion people.  We are able to get a free drink but Dan already had his 3 free tastes.  Back to finish shopping and then to the B and B.  Tali is tired and we are planning to go to the musical pub tour tonight. Oh by the way we had another 3 flights up to the bar in at Guinness and 5 flights down to the exit.

Back at the B and B and we have about 90 minutes. Dan and I are off to Teeling distillery. We have a free admission. It actually is a 6 minute walk.  We leave tasting room early since need to be back.  Tali is ready to go and we walk back to Trinity College to catch the bus.

We arrive and to just be sure check across the street at the hotel to confirm pick up.  The bus is late and Tali begins to worry.  While we wait one of the horse drawn carriages looses a wheel and blocks traffic so it has been an entertaining 7 minutes or so.

The pub show is a great success and Tali is enjoying it. Menu is great so we all have a choice.  Food has not been an issue with Tali.  She is diversified and eats everything.    As the evening ends we learn the bus won’t be back until 1am.  This is late for us old folks.  The show got over at 12:30 am. We desire to use alternate transportation so back in a taxi. There were 2 that pulled up so we snagged one of them.  This was really a win win.  We saw the bus coming up the hill to the restaurant as we were almost to the main road.  Definitely earlier than arriving in Dublin at 1:45 in the morning and then walking back the mile or so.  Tomorrow we rent a car and the excitement begins.
